Join CKS Squad member and ICU nurse Joe Keck for this essential riverside first aid and CPR course. The Accidents section of the March/April American Whitewater magazine describes several recent drownings that were averted with CPR by paddling buddies. The class will cover first aid for riverside injuries and near-drowning scenarios. We will alsodiscuss the contents of a kayaking med-kit and medical evacuation considerations. While the class will be geared specifically toward river runners, all participants will also receive American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
